Elbląg, Poland - on Wednesday, May 15, representatives of NATO member states whose soldiers form the division headquarters arrived to the Multinational Division North East (MND-NE). Among the guests were also the representatives of the Multinational Corps Northeast, the newly formed in Hungary Multinational Division Central, United States European Command and observers from the Czech Republic and Croatia. The reason for their arrival to Elbląg was the second one, but the first in the new MND-NE location at Podchorazych Street, annual plenary meeting. Visitors were greeted by the Division Commander, MGEN Krzysztof Motacki, who thanked everyone for coming and emphasized the importance of this meeting in the further functioning of the command.
During the two-day discussion, proposals for structural changes in the command developed on the basis of conclusions from everyday activities and participation in exercises such as Saber Strike - 18 and Anakonda – 18, were discussed. Issues related to extending the command to successive NATO member states were also discussed.
The chairman of the meeting was the head of the Board of Aeromobile and Motorized Forces of the General Command, BGEN Grzegorz Hałupka.
