Elbląg, Poland – on Tuesday, 30th of April soldiers of the Multinational Division North East Headquarters stood at the ceremonial gathering to commemorate the Flag Day and the 3rd of May National Holiday of Poland. The ceremony began by playing the National Anthem of Poland.
On this special day, Division Commander MGen. Krzysztof Motacki and Deputy Commander Brig.Gen. Karel Rehka gave all Polish soldiers and their families’ best wishes.
The National Day of May 3 this year is also an opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Poland's presence in the North Atlantic Alliance and the 15th anniversary of its presence in the European Union.
The main celebrations of such an important anniversary for Poles took place in Warsaw, where the Division Commander MGen Krzysztof Motacki represented MND-NE. After the ceremonies at the Castle Square, the military parade "Strong in the Alliances" took place. More than 2,000 people marched on the Warsaw Wisłostrada, including soldiers from allied troops: American, Croatian, British and Italian.
