Enhance Forward Presence (eFP) Training Synchronization Conference (TSC) took place at Multinational Division North East Headquarters.

Elbląg, Poland - the Multinational Division North-East Headquarters reached Full Capability only on December 6, 2018, and two months later, the new headquarters of the command, already hosted a conference to synchronize the training activities of the units included in NATO’s enhanced forward Presence (eFP ). The actual organizer of the conference was Joint Force Commands Brunssum (JFCBS). It was JFCBS who decided that Elbląg and the Multinational Division Headquarters was the best place to organize such an event. The importance of this conference manifested in the presence of representatives of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), side by side with the soldiers serving at JFCBS. Representatives of NATO’s Joint Allied Land Command (LANDCOM), Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC-NE), host nation brigades with whom the eFP Battle Groups are cooperating with and battle groups themselves attended the conference.

This conference was the next step for the coordination of training and exercises of multinational battle groups, by the command of the Elbląg division. The actual goal of the conference was to synchronize exercises, integrate resources and identify the main effort during the current training year.

In his closing remarks, the Commander of the Multinational Division North-East Maj. Gen. Krzysztof Motacki emphasized that such meetings, besides making participants understand the training tasks that lay ahead, are also an excellent opportunity for people from different nations, working in different countries to meet in person. He also thanked the JFCBS representatives for organizing the conference at the Multinational Division Headquarters.

During the NATO Summit held in Warsaw in 2016, representatives of the member states decided to strengthen the eastern flank of the Alliance by establishing multinational battle groups under the so-called strengthened NATO presence in the Baltic States and in Poland. To coordinate their activities, the Command of the Multinational North-East Division (MND-NE) was established. At the beginning of December 2018 during the "Anakonda-18" exercise, Headquarters Multinational Division North East has reached Full Capability, and the ability to coordinate the operation of battle groups and conduct operations in accordance with Article 5 of the Washington Treaty. Multinational battle groups began operating in 2017. Today, the cooperation within the framework of enhanced Forward Presence of NATO and the presence of soldiers from various countries and different services is an example of interoperability and great partnership and unity amongst Allies.
