Elbląg, Poland - on Tuesday morning, Division Deputy Commander, Brig. Gen. Karel Rehka welcomed the Battle Staff Training participants in the MND-NE Command Support Regiment. Battle Staff Training is divided into two parts. The first part of the training, started on 13th November, will end on Friday, the second one will start on next Tuesday (20th November). In total, for the next two weeks, soldiers of the Division Headquarters will improve their skills during carrying out high-intensity combat operations. Activities will be carried out at the Field Command Post. The current staff training is the last of this type of undertaking before the second phase of certification starting at the beginning of December.
As part of the preparation for certification, MND-NE soldiers improved their procedures and knowledge for many months taking part in exercises and training in Poland and abroad. At that time, they also played in organizational cells of the Headquarters. As part of the preparations for certification, the most important test of their skills was the Exercise Saber Strike. During this exercise they commanded three brigades: the 7th Mechanized Brigade from the Czech Republic, the Lithuanian Infantry Infantry Brigade "Iron Wolf" and the Polish 15th Giżycka Mechanized Brigade.
Certification of the Division Headquarters started just after the “Saber Strike” exercise. At that time, the process of action planning (CRP - Crisis Response Planning) for the Anakonda 18 exercise was evaluated. The next stage on the road to achieving Full Readiness was the first phase of certification (so-called "In Barracks"), which was carried out in October this year. During this phase, the completion, equipping and preparation of functional cells of the Headquarters to carry out the operations was checked. The whole process will be completed by Phase II (so-called "Field evaluation"), which will take place at the beginning of December during the "Anakonda" exercise.
