Elbląg, Poland - on Monday, 23rd May, soldiers of the Multinational Division North East Headquarters (MND-NE HQ) gathered on assembly at the Command Support Regiment. The occasion was to celebrate St. George’s Day – the National Day of England. Moreover, on this day, soldiers of the Headquarters have begun “Amber Bridge – 18” Battle Staff Training.
The ceremony started with the hearing of the Great Britain National Anthem. Afterwards, Col. Adrian Grinonneau has familiarized the gathered guests with a history of the St. George’s Day. On this distinctive day, Division Commander Brig. Gen. Krzysztof Motacki, gave our colleague best wishes in the name of division soldiers.
The beginning of the Battle Staff Training was a second part of the ceremony. “Amber Bridge – 18” is a continuation of former trainings and is one of the key undertakings preparing Headquarters soldiers to certification, which is to be conducted during “Anakonda – 18” exercise. In the course of training, soldiers will improve their skills at Field Command Post, established by the Command Support Regiment. As, during the ceremony, Brig. Gen. Krzysztof Motacki said - this is the last battle Staff Training before the "Saber Strike - 18" exercise in June this year. Therefore, we will soon be able to use the skills which are being improved now, in the exercise organized by the US Army Europe, as well as during the certification that awaits us.
