In the Land Forces Training Center in Orzysz a transfer of authority ceremony for the NATO Battle Group Poland took place. This is the fifth change in allied troops that came to Bemowo Piskie as part of the NATO enhanced Forward Presence (eFP). This time the core of the NATO battalion will form the 3rd "Pacesetter" Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment from Pennsylvania.
During the ceremony LTC Donny W. Hebel, the former commander of the Battle Group, handed over the pennant of the NATO’s battalion to the new commander LTC Mark P. O'Neill, through the commander of the 15th MBde. Afterwards, the commanders signed "occasional protocols". Another element of the ceremony was the handing over to LTC Donny Hebel the Bronze Medal of the Armed Forces by the General Commander of the Armed Forces. The Multinational Division North East Headquarters was represented by the commander MGen Krzysztof Motacki.
